Centro de Recursos para a Inclus\u00e3o Digital (CRID) was born in 2006 at the Escola Superior de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o e Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o Social of Polit\u00e9cnico de Leiria. As a privileged community support service in digital accessibility\u2019s area, we have a fully equipped space with devices adapted for citizens with specific needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our center and our support aim at all citizens with specific needs and their families, as well as institutions, schools and professionals who work in the area and have an interest in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Mission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our mission is based on promoting the social inclusion of the population with specific needs, through the use of technical aids and support products, within the scope of digital accessibility. We have various technological resources at our disposal, and we also provide advice on the respective support tools, demonstrating support for the academic community and civil society. By combining multiple scientific areas, we also intend to study the development and innovation potential of accessible technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u00e9lia Sousa<\/strong>
Coordinator of Centro de Recursos para a Inclus\u00e3o Digital \u2013 CRID\u00ae<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u00e9lia Sousa has a PhD in Ci\u00eancias da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o, Especializa\u00e7\u00e3o em Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o, from Universidade de Extremadura. She is a lecturer at the Escola Superior de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o e Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o Social of Polit\u00e9cnico de Leiria and an integrated researcher at the Centro de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o Interdisciplinar de Ci\u00eancias Sociais of Universidade Nova de Lisboa. As a board member of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Engenharia de Reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o e Acessibilidade (SUPERA), she has developed projects in the areas of assistive technology, inclusive education, augmentative communication and accessible culture. She has collaborated as a consultant in the areas of accessibility and inclusion with various organizations, including consultancy work for the implementation of inclusive education legislation with the Cape Verde government. https:\/\/www.cienciavitae.pt\/C018-2EA4-D945<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
